Ce film aborde la jeunesse d’Henri Krasucki et de ses camarades Paulette Sarcey, Robert Endewelt, Julien Lauprêtre, Roger Trugnan, leur action, leur arrestation, leur déportation. Le film met en lumière la culture, le courage, l’intégrité et la force de ces jeunes gens souvent d’origine étrangère qui se sont engagés dans la Résistance pour faire naître un monde meilleur. Ce film s’inscrit dans une volonté de compréhension et de transmission. Il participe du travail de mémoire tout en interrogeant notre présent. Il fait écho aux questions d’actualité telles que l’éducation, la culture les luttes sociales, la montée de l’extrême-droite….
