Inauguration du nouveau Musée de la Résistance Nationale à Champigny-sur-Marne

Samedi 29 février 2020 a eu lieu l’inauguration du nouveau Musée de la Résistance Nationale, quai Victor-Hugo à Champigny-sur-Marne. L’ADVR était représentée
à cet événement important.
Le nouveau musée, situé à l’espace Aimé Césaire, est maintenant très accessible car la station de RER « Champigny » n’est qu’à une dizaine de minutes à pied.
Lorsque les travaux de la ligne 15 auront abouti, le métro sera juste devant l’entrée du musée. C’est important car le musée prendra ainsi une autre dimension en étant beaucoup plus accessible encore et deviendra un grand musée de la Résistance.
Les bâtiments du parc Vercors, où se trouvait l’ancien musée, restent dédiés à la conservation des archives et au travail des chercheurs.
Malgré le froid et la tempête, un public très nombreux a assisté à cette inauguration accompagnée d’un discours du maire de Champigny, Dominique Adenot, d’un discours du président du conseil départemental, Christian Favier, d’un discours de la présidente de la région Île-de-France, Valérie Pécresse, ces collectivités territoriales ayant financé les travaux, d’un discours de Lucienne Nayet, présidente des Musées de la Résistance et d’une allocution du président des Amis du musée, Georges Duffau-Epstein, fils de Joseph Epstein, alias « Colonel Gilles » responsable FTP de la région parisienne, arrêté en même temps que Manouchian, fusillé en avril 1944.
L’ADVR prévoit d’ores et déjà d’organiser à l’automne, en partenariat avec le SNES, comme nous le faisons depuis plusieurs années maintenant, une visite de cet espace muséal.
