Comme chaque année, l’Association de Défense des Valeurs de la Résistance (ADVR) a organisé au lycée Hélène Boucher, à Paris, une rencontre de témoignages sur le thème de la Résistance et de l’Occupation.

Vingt personnes étaient présentes, parmi lesquelles six résistants dont deux déportés à Dachau, ainsi que deux survivantes d’Auschwitz.
Avec l’âge des derniers résistants (95-98 ans pour ceux qui sont malgré cela venus), la question de la transmission directe de ce qui s’est passé dans la France de Pétain se pose. Nous avons donc choisi de donner aussi la parole aux enfants de résistants, de résistants déportés ou fusillés, qui peuvent apporter aux élèves un contact certes indirect mais cependant très proche. Nous avons en particulier, mais pas seulement, fait appel à des auteurs qui ont publié sur leurs proches, ce qui, outre la connaissance de ces derniers, a permis d’évoquer non seulement la Résistance mais aussi le travail de l’historien.

Nous avons également fait appel à des responsables d’associations de la Mémoire, à des enfants cachés et à des enfants déportés.
Ainsi la mémoire vivante peut se perpétuer.
La nécessité est d’autant plus grande en cette période de montée des extrêmes droites en Europe et dans le monde. Un peuple qui oublie son passé est, dit-on, appelé à le revivre. Les élèves du lycée Hélène Boucher, après ces moments d’échanges avec leurs interlocuteurs seront un peu mieux armés pour affronter le présent et peut-être aussi l’avenir.
En tout cas ils étaient nombreux à ce rendez-vous, environ 350, c’est à dire le quart des effectifs du lycée, un vendredi soir après les cours, tous venus volontairement, sans leurs professeurs. L’ADVR remercie le lycée Hélène Boucher pour son engagement à ses côtés, chaque année, dans cette action, et tout particulièrement sa proviseure, Madame Nouis.
