Rencontre avec les élèves de lycée Hélène Boucher à Paris, Vendredi 6 janvier 2023

Vendredi 6 janvier 2023 a eu lieu la rencontre traditionnelle entre les élèves de lycée Hélène Boucher à Paris et des témoins venus leur parler de la Seconde guerre mondiale.
La dernière rencontre de ce type avait eu lieu le 6 mars 2020, quelques jours avant le confinement. Nous étions inquiets de savoir si la nouvelle génération d’élèves se montrerait aussi intéressée que la dernière que nous avions rencontrée. En effet, en près de trois ans, la population scolaire d’un lycée est entièrement renouvelée.
Nos inquiétudes ont été très vite totalement levées, les élèves étant venus en très grand nombre, plus de 250, pour rencontrer les 20 personnes venues leur parler de cette période dramatique de notre Histoire. 19 groupes de discussion ont été organisés, un couple ayant demandé à témoigner ensemble. L’attitude des élèves, leur attention, leurs questions, ont montré l’intérêt qu’ils ont porté à cette rencontre.
Il y avait en face d’eux, selon les tables, trois résistants, dont un résistant déporté, des enfants cachés, des enfants de résistants (dont la plupart ont écrit des livres de témoignage sur leurs parents), des responsables d’associations de la Mémoire, une artiste engagée sur la question de la transmission de la Mémoire.
Il faut souligner qu’une telle rencontre n’a pu se faire que grâce à l’engagement total du lycée autour de notre projet.
La proviseure, Madame Schachtel, les équipes pédagogiques, l’intendance, le secrétariat, tous ont permis la réussite de cet événement.
Rendez-vous a donc été pris pour l’an prochain afin de faire vivre ce moment de formation civique et citoyenne des jeunes qui, eux mêmes, nous encouragent à continuer.
