C’est avec tristesse que nous avons appris le décès de Pierre Morel à l’âge de 98 ans. Ancien résistant, Pierre Morel fut  membre d’un réseau d’évasion d’aviateurs alliés puis, après avoir rejoint Londres, en passant par le camp de concentration de Miranda en Espagne, il devint membre du réseau Oscar Parson (réseau anglais  du SOE, Special Opération Executive, dépendant du colonel Buckmaster),  et du BCRA , Bureau Central de Renseignements et d’action, dépendant du colonel Passy).

Pierre Morel a été, de 2004 à sa dissolution il y a quatre ans,  président du Comité d’Action de la Résistance, le CAR, créé par Georges Bidault en  1948.

Il était aussi un infatigable militant de la Mémoire et a  participé régulièrement depuis leur création aux rencontres avec les élèves du lycée Hélène Boucher tant que sa santé le lui a permis, ce dont nous lui en sommes très reconnaissants car son témoignage était d’une grande honnêteté et d’une grande richesse. C’est un ami des valeurs que nous portons qui disparaît.
