L’ADVR honore ses deux résistantes centenaires

Vendredi 14 décembre, notre association a eu le plaisir rare d’honorer deux de ses membres centenaires et, qui plus est, anciennes résis- tantes : Jeannette Borzakian ancienne FTP-MOI et Pierrette Rossi an- cienne responsable du service social de Combat dans le département du Rhône, déportée à Ravensbrück. Toutes deux sont restées d’inlas- sables militantes de la Mémoire.

La cérémonie a été organisée par la mairie du 19e arrondissement où réside Jeannette, dans les locaux de la Maison du combattant du 19°, dans une atmosphère chaleureuse et bon enfant. D’autres associations étaient bien sûr associées à cet événement : l’UCFAF (Union culturelle française des Arméniens de France), l’ANACR (Association nationale des anciens combattants de la Résistance), le Comité d’entente et la CNL (Confédération nationale du logement où Jeannette a activement milité).

Après les différentes prises de parole , l’équipe municipale du 19e, bien représentée, a remis à chacune la Médaille vermeil de la Ville de Paris, puis la présidente de l’ADVR, Danielle Chambeiron, leur a remis, au nom de notre association, un cadeau en signe d’amitié.

L’assistance était nombreuse et visiblement heureuse de participer à cet événement exceptionnel qui s’est terminé autour d’un buffet sym- pathique et bien garni. Une dizaine de nos adhérents étaient présents autour de nos deux amies.

Jeanne Borzakian, née Civié, voit le jour en Pologne le 14 décembre 1918. Ses partents, juifs, émigrent en France en 1928 pour fuir la répression et la misère. Très tôt, elle s’engage, à l’image de son père, au parti communiste et participe aux grèves de 1936.

Dès le début de l’Occupation, elle commence à résister avec ses camarades communistes. Grâce à son sang froid, à l’entraide et à la solidarité, elle échappe à plusieurs reprises à l’arrestation, tandis que ses parents sont déportés en février 1943 à Auschwitz où ils sont assassinés. Jeannette reste présente, malgré ses responsabilités, pour ses jeunes frères et soeurs devenus orphelins. Sa soeur cadette, Rosette, résistante elle aussi est déportée à Auschwitz en juin 1944 d’où elle reviendra à la Libération.
Après la chute de son réseau, Jeanne intègre les FTP-MOI. En 1947 elle épouse Puzant Borzakian, dit André, résistant corme elle depuis le début. Toute sa vie elle

restera militante. Quand on lui demande pourquoi elle s’est engagée dans la Résistance, elle répond « je devais bien ça à la France qui m’avait accueillie ».

Pierrette Rossi est née à Lyon le 7 février 1918. Elle fait partie des rares Français qui ont vraiment entendu, le 18 juin 1940, l’appel dur général de Gaulle qui lui redonne un peu d’espoir.

Révoltée par la Collaboration, elle rejoint le mouvement Combat en septembre 1941. Son emploi à l’inspection académique lui permet d’avertir les jeunes instituteurs requis pour le STO et elle les aide à y échapper. Agent de liaison, elle participe à des transports et distributions de tracts.

Recherchée, elle devient clandestine sous le nom de Marie Dupont. Elle travaille au service social de Combat dans le département de l’AIN. Sa mission consiste à aider les familles de déportés, fusillés et emprisonnés. Menacée d’arrestation elle change de secteur et devient responsable départementale du service social de Combat à Lyon.

Dénoncée par une de ses adjointes qui a été arrêtée, elle est arrêtée à son tour en juillet 1944 puis déportée à Ravensbrück où elle arrive au terme d’un terrible voyage de 11 jours. Au camp elle s’attache à rester digne et solidaire de ses camarades… et à saboter les pièces qu’elle fabrique dans les usines de guerre du Reich. A l’évacuation du camp, lors des marches de la mort, elle parvient à s’enfuir. Après la guerre Pierrette Rossi devient psychologue et chercheuse en pédagogie.
