Etienne Egret et Dominique Philippe sont les co-auteurs de : ‘’Voves 1942-1944 un camp en Eure-et-Loir’’ et ‘’Voves 1942-1944 l’Université : Culture et Résistance’’.

Dans l’histoire du camp de Voves, camp de concentration français, gardé par des Français. Le livre montre la vie quotidienne des internés, l’entraide, la survie, les évasions, la déportation vers l’Allemagne. Réservoir d’otages au cœur de la Beauce, Voves incarne surtout un lieu de résistance où des hommes refusent l’inacceptable.

Dans le deuxième volume, les auteurs présentent l’organisation interne et clandestine des internés, le bouillonnement de culture qui, de l’Université – tolérée par la direction- au théâtre, de la chorale à l’harmonie, du sport à la préparation militaire clandestine, animait les internés du camp de Voves au fil des 856 jours de son existence. La dernière partie de l’ouvrage est consacrée à l’évasion préparée au sein du théâtre, réussie au nez et à la barbe des gardiens.

Etienne Egret et Dominique Philippe montrent comment la culture était devenue une arme pour les internés et comment elle sert à construire l’avenir.
