Vendredi 9 février 2018 a eu lieu au lycée Hélène Boucher la rencontre annuelle des témoins de la période de l’Occupation avec les élèves.
23 témoins avaient répondu présent à l’invitation de l’Association de Défense des Valeurs de la Résistance (ADVR) mais, compte tenu des conditions climatiques extrêmement difficiles (neige et verglas), 12 seulement ont pu se rendre au lycée. Qu’ils en soient particulièrement remerciés. En effet ils étaient très attendus par les élèves puisque plus de 300 d’entre eux s’étaient inscrits pour cette soirée qui débutait après leurs cours.

Cette année nous avons donné une large place aux enfants cachés ou déportés qui représenteraient près de la moitié des témoins.
Il nous semble important de donner également la parole à des personnes qui peuvent apporter un témoignage direct sur ce qu’a été la barbarie de cet période car ce contact direct avec les jeunes est un moment important de la vie du lycée ainsi que l’a appelé madame Nouis, proviseur du lycée Hélène Boucher.

Nous précisons que ce genre de rencontre, devenu traditionnel dans ce lycée est un événement unique puisqu’il nécessite à la fois la mobilisation d’un grand nombre de témoins, mais la mobilisation également d’une grande partie du personnel de l’établissement scolaire, proviseur, conseillers d’éducation, secrétaire, intendance, etc. Une telle conjonction n’est en effet pas courante.
